Heather Long-Roise
Heather Long-Roise has had a resurgence in her painting by creating small portraits. She likes to express the character of her subjects in the portraits she creates by looking for hidden colors to explore throughout.
Heather has been an art teacher for 24 years in public education, where she is able to inspire little artists.
The image of the Quahog she created for the 'Mayflower 400' project was inspired by how the Quahog was used to create Wampum, a bead that was used as currency by the Wampanoag.
